Internet search engines, directories and social media are like big grocery stores; there is a “sell by” date on every message –and it’s today.  If you are not delivering something new on a regular basis, other messages are going to replace yours on the shelves.

Integrate all the elements so they amplify each other—search engines, video, podcasts, social media, mobile marketing.

How do we do that?  We want to give you the largest possible reach. 

We begin by including your podcasts (radio programs) in iTunes. There are over 225 million iTunes account holders and some of them are your audience.

If you’re wondering, like we were, whether video marketing is really that important, consider these findings from the comScore May 2011 U.S. Online Video Rankings:

  • 83.3 percent of the U.S. Internet audience viewed online video in May.
  • That’s more than 5.6 billion viewing sessions during the course of the month…
  • and 176 million U.S. Internet users watching online video content in May…
  • which averages out to 15.9 hours of online video watching per person.

Now let’s consider this.  When we do a search in Google, Yahoo or Bing the search engines identify where our computer is located and delivers local results to us, unless we put a location in our search criteria.

78% of consumers trust peer recommendations, only 14% trust ads.

With all of this information in mind we use the most effective methods to drive traffic to your videos, audios and print materials.  First, we do the keyword research to identify the keywords that  your audience is actually searching for.

We create a video trailer specific to your program each quarter and we distribute that video to up to 12 different video sites using the keywords that your audience would be looking for.  Not only that but video is the fastest way to get to the top of the search engines, so someone searching Google for your keywords in your local area will be more likely to find your videos.  We drive traffic to your product and from your Association page they are also directed to your website.  This is what you have to remember your business has to be where your prospects are.

Next we post your video to 15 status update sites like Facebook and Twitter and 15 bookmarking sites like StumbleUpon that has over 10 million users (some of them in your backyard)

Next, once a week we publish a marketing video specific to our Networks including info about your show and then distribute it in the same manner as your video trailers.

Let us share what video has done for the Association of You.  Although we officially launched in December 2011 we currently have a Google page ranking of 3 and and Associationofyou.org’s three-month global Alexa traffic rank is 810,569 out of over 366 million websites. Not bad for a new service. And a USA ranking of 436,397. (The rank by country is calculated using a combination of average daily visitors to associationofyou.org and pageviews on associationofyou.org from users from that country over the past 3 months. The site with the highest combination of visitors and pageviews is ranked #1 in that country.)
